Our bodies (including our genitals) do not define our gender. In some individuals, there is a discrepancy between our authentic identity and our bodies. We aim to align these two entities. This alignment can be done in a variety of ways, including with medication and gender-affirming surgery.
Our Gender-Affirming Surgeon Specializes In Bottom Surgeries
Dr. McClung is a board-certified urologist with fellowship training in reconstructive and trauma surgery. The initial part of his career focused on cis-gender reconstruction, congenitalism, and trauma.
His introduction into the field of gender health was born out of the management of complications in patients who had bottom surgery elsewhere. After finding the satisfaction that came from working with gender diverse patients, he then began performing gender affirming surgeries himself. His practice is now entirely devoted to gender affirming care and he has performed hundreds of bottom surgeries.

Dr. McClung
He/Him/His
Dr. McClung is a urologist with fellowship training in reconstructive surgery. His introduction into gender health was in the management of post-op operative complications in patients who had bottom surgery elsewhere. He has been performing gender affirming surgeries since 2017. He is known for his deep knowledge of reconstuctive surgery and his calm, gentle bedside manner.

Chris McClung, MS, MD (he/him/his);
was raised in Ohio. Dr. McClung left home to study chemistry in Oklahoma. He received his MS in organic chemistry at the University of Minnesota.
He then worked for two years in the pharmaceutical industry, during which time he receive numerous patents for his work. He then attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College. Once he decided to focus on urologic surgery, Dr. McClung attended residency at Loyola University of a Chicago under Dr. Robert Flanigan, one of the co-discoverers of the tumor market PSA.
His trauma and reconstructive surgery fellowship was at the University of Washington. Additional education in gender affirmation surgery was done domestically and internationally. After his fellowship training, he returned to Ohio to practice his specialty as a faculty member at the Ohio State University for five years.
He currently works in partnership with OhioHealth as a surgeon focused on gender-affirming care. Reconstructive Surgical Arts (RSA) was borne out of Dr. McClung’s experience and passion for creating a gender affirming healthcare practice with a very high level of attention and trust. He has been performing bottom surgeries for 7 years. His currently practice is entirely devoted to gender health.
Meet the team

Allicia has 14 years of experience as a medical assistant and has a deep understanding of the needs of the gender affirming patient. She recently graduated with her degree as a RN. She has been working with Dr. McClung for 4 years and has been managing his outpatient office visits during that entire time. She is director of outpatient clinical operations.

Michael is a jack of all trades. He is a surgical first assistant who works with Dr. McClung in all of his surgeries. He also carries in his portfolio the title of medical assistant, and he will often work with us in the office. He is currently working on his MBA. Michael is our director of surgical services and a vital key to our surgical practice.

Rebecca is our office manager and will manage all administrative responsibilities. You will often interact with her when scheduling appointments and surgeries. She is the primary point of contact with our patients and back office.
